Korean mobile enthusiasts are crowding KT stores in search of iPhones. KT is Apple’s authorized carrier in Korea, and they are are selling every iPhone they can lay their hands on. The demand is so strong that KT has put in a 911 call to Apple in search of additional iPhone supply. An article in today’s Korea Times: quotes a KT spokesperson;

The unprecedented demand for iPhone in Korea has surprised many technology pundits and has jolted regional powerhouses Samsung and LG. Samsung has launched a Nixonian (think dirty tricks) campaign to undermine iPhone’s success in Korea. This anti-iPhone effort is being held up to some ridicule in Korea and may actually backfire.
