China Mobile, the world’s largest carrier (488 million subscribers), is engaged in talks with Apple Inc. (AAPL) over selling iPhones in China.

I will repeat my mantra … the most likely near-term deal between Apple and China Mobile would be for a low-priced 2G (EDGE) iPhone. They will likely also discuss a TD LTE 4G model, but that won’t arrive on scene for a few years.
