Via Aaron Back for Market Watch – China Mobile Ltd. (CHL) Chairman/CEO Wang Jianzhou reconfirmed today (Friday Sept 11, 2009) that
China Mobile, the world’s largest carrier (488 million subscribers), is engaged in talks with Apple Inc. (AAPL) over selling iPhones in China.
I will repeat my mantra … the most likely near-term deal between Apple and China Mobile would be for a low-priced 2G (EDGE) iPhone. They will likely also discuss a TD LTE 4G model, but that won’t arrive on scene for a few years.
