Update – March 1, 2010: Businessweek is reporting today that Digi.Com Bhd., has signed a 3-year agreement with Apple and will join Maxis Communications as an authorized iPhone carrier in Malaysia. Digi.com is controlled by Norway’s Telenor ASA.
The Digi iPhone launch date was not released although Apple confirmed the agreement. Digi will start “to bring iPhone to Malaysia in the coming months,” Apple said in an e-mailed statement.
Update – March 11, 2008: Maxis will offer iPhone 3G 8GB for free on its iValue 4 plan beginning March 20. Maxis will offer a range of new tariff plans, starting at just RM100 per month, tailored specifically for iPhone customers. MacDailyNews has the full story > HERE
Maxis has posted an event notice on its website announcing iPhone 3G launch events in Malaysia on March 20-22. A pretty good tell (now confirmed) that iPhone will officially be launched on March 20, 2009.
iPhone 3G will be coming soon to more countries including (albeit not advertised) China.
